Welcome
Developer Workshop & Hackathon Austin 2022
Consensus continues to be one of the largest and most sought after events in our industry… This year Cardano will be there demonstrating the arrival & growth of Defi and DApp projects on the Cardano blockchain and raising the profile of the developers in the ecosystem.
After Consensus, we’ll be hosting a FREE developer workshop and hackathon on June 13th, in which IOG will be hosting Marlowe and Plutus challenges, and discussing the development roadmap, Vasil CIP utilisation, tools and more. The workshop aims to give developers a space to decompress, connect and learn with other developers and members of the IOG team after Consensus.
Choose Your Track
For the developer workshop and hackathon on June 13th, you’ll have the option to choose from one of the following three tracks…
DApp Track
Throughout the day, you’ll have the opportunity to participate in discussions with some of the IOG team and other community members about a variety of topics, such as the foundations of dApps on Cardano, maximizing Vasil CIP capabilities, auditing & certification, and more.
We’ll also be hosting lightning talks at the end of the day, in which we invite you to share more about the projects you’re building on Cardano.
Plutus Challenge
In this track, participants will be presented with a Plutus challenge to be resolved throughout the day, with the support of Lars Brunjes and his team. At the end of the day, participants will have the opportunity to present their projects to fellow community members.
Plutus/Haskell experience is recommended for this track
Marlowe – Zero to Hero
Marlowe is a new domain-specific language (DSL) language developed by IOHK for writing and executing financial contracts on blockchain. In this track, you will learn Marlowe from scratch throughout the day, and in the afternoon consolidate what you have learned through a range of challenges on the topic of auctions.
